Games

The kids and I play Scrabble once a week with H at an assisted living place near us. I'm not allowed to take photos of faces, but I loved her hand as she looked at her tiles.

I also took the girls to play racquetball this afternoon and practiced some action shots.

We are never more fully alive, more completely ourselves, or more deeply engrossed in anything than when we are playing.--Charles Schaefer

Wonderful hands...I agree. I love the composition of the fingers curling around the Scrabble rack.

Ditto what Beth said!

I wouldn't have thought of photographing a hand. What a good idea! Hers is lovely.

You almost feel like you know the personality of that hand. Strange. Scrabble is my favorite game so maybe I'm putting some of my personality into that hand. ha

I love the shot of your daughter "playing".

I love your idea of putting quotes with your pix. Wonderful way to caption them.

And that hand is lovely! I hope mine has that natural grrace at her age.

Wonderful shots, both of them!

I love hands. My dh's hands are one of the first things I loved about him. I know I will be taking some pictures of various hands this year.

The art student who lives with us had a photography class assignment to photograph hands. The ones she took really reflect character.

What a wonderful picture. I love wrinkles (on other people); they have so much character! This is really a perfect shot, curled hand, sort of funky ring, the color of the sleeve and sweater(?), the angle of the scrabble line...very, very well done. (What did she think about you taking a photo of her hand?)

This photo has so much character and personality.

I also like your action shot. I've got to give some of those a try.
