The Snorkeler

E is finally finishing a sculpture he started several months ago made entirely from plastic wrap. He is going to hang it from his ceiling as a snorkeler. You can see the bottom half laying on the chair behind him.

The sculptor represents the transition from one pose to another.. he indicates how insensibly the first glides into the second. In his work we still see a part of what was and we discover a part of what is to be.

Congrats to E, but I have to tell you....a snorkler hanging from MY ceiling would freak me out, I'm sure!

I'd love to see the final piece. Very cool and creative. My Mom sent me some pictures recently from an artist who does similar work that I found really fun... http://www.xmarkjenkinsx.com/outside.html
Maybe E already knows of this artist, but if not, he might enjoy this link.

Yeah, that's too cool. I like the rock sculpture he made, too. When we go to Peaks Island, which is very rocky, there are always random rock sculptures erected here and there along the beach. I love seeing them.
