Cool, Nikki. I have two good friends who are high school subs, both former home schoolers. Keith's sister also worked as a jr high/high school sub for several years, as did Vera.
I'm getting back into the classroom in a couple of weeks, teaching college prep and AP writing at Class Day. I've missed the classroom, although I don't think that I'd be a good sub; I like building a long-term repoire with the students too much! (And I'm not that brave, LOL!)
Hmmm.... do you have to have a teaching degree there to substitute? Here you have to so I've never pursued that route although I think it's something could do. Neat job.
I loved substituting! Usually I stuck with one school, and could have worked every day of the year had I chosen to. I loved getting to know the kids! I miss the classroom.
